This May, The Carlyle Group will launch its first hedge fund, a one billion dollar multi-strategy deal which began trading internally a few weeks ago. With the recent news of various private equity fund IPOs serving as one clear indicator of a top in private equity, I would argue that this could be another.
Just as businesses focus on new products when they sense that the market is maturing for a current hit, Carlyle's first attempt to diversify away from being just a buyout shop indicates to me that they aren't counting on the deals to continue to generate the profit growth they have been.

AND IF THIS IS NOT DONE AND THEY ARE NOT STOPPED. WE AS A SICK AND DEPRAVED SOCIETY DESERVE EXACTLY WHAT WE GET .
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT SOME OF US ALONG WITH OUR CHILDREN DESERVE TO GO ON LIVING . I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SOME PEOPLE CAN BECOME SO MEGALOMANIACAL WHEN THEY BECOME RICH AND OTHERS SEEM TO HANDLE IT SO WELL .
IF YOU LOVE YOUR COUNTRY AND YOUR KIDS DO NOT VOTE REPUBLICAN . THE PARTY IS FULL OF GREED DRIVEN SCUM THAT HAVE BECOME MENTALLY ILL AS SO MANY IN THEIR POSSITION DO ... AND I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE DEMOCRATS THEY SURE IN HELL ARE LOADED WITH CAPITALISTS THAT CARE LITTLE TO ANYTHING BUT THE BOTTOM LINE .
